The week of March 11, before leaving for a week-long congressional recess, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) filed cloture on the House-passed bill for disaster assistance. It includes $600 million for Puerto Rico’s Nutrition Assistance Program (NAP) as well as other critical disaster relief. Leader McConnell could bring this bill to the floor for a vote as early as today. Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) is expected to introduce a substitute amendment to include funding for Alabama towns impacted by the recent tornadoes. Please, Senator vote for $600 million in nutrition for Puerto Rico. Thanx for the great worx :) reality
