Great work. I would add that neither materialist system has worked, nor actually strenuously attempted to follow their own model. Since 'materialism' is a delusional construct, the direction of study of non-materialist is actually the solution and far more interesting. For e.g., both systems, regardless of their rhetoric and propaganda, rely on the ever increasing supposed garnering of ever increasingly delusional profits, pleasures and powers, in ever increasingly cyclical and centralizing patterns; dictating astronomically larger real deficits, pains, and lack of power over the longrun. An example, simply, delusional short-term profits, etc., supposedly garnered from the fossil fuel industrial complexes has made them the richest and most powerful, etc., entities in all of human history; yet, in reality, the long-term real deficits, inarable land, unpotable water, unbreathable air, inedible food, etc., are so devastating that they're dictating the extinction of humanity and large mammals- and possibly the total destruction of the Earth. Both capitalism and socialism have failed because they're delusional materialism and never actually had their goals in mind or the necessary strong dedication to acheivement of their supposed idealistic goals, thereby doing the opposite of that and destroying all; time to stop digging the hole deeper if we want to get out of it before everybody's dead- no?
